Question 1.
When will I receive my vouchers?

If you chose them to be delivered to your country:

If your departure date is more than 60 days ahead:
Your vouchers will be shipped out to your shipping address around 60 days prior to your departure date.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks to be delivered countries outside Japan.

If your departure date is less than 60 days ahead:
Your vouchers will be shipped out to your shipping address within 3 business days.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks to be delivered countries outside Japan.

If your departure date is less than two weeks ahead:

We may send you another email to ask you to receive your vouchers in Japan instead. Please follow the instruction indicated in our email sent to you separately.

If you chose them to be delivered to a hotel in Japan:

If your arrival is more than one week ahead:
Your vouchers will be delivered to the hotel a few days prior to your checking in.  

If your arrival is less than one week ahead:
We will ship out as soon as possible, but it will take at least two days to be delivered (so you will not be able to receive upon checking in, if you placed your order 1-2 days before checking in).

If your shipping address is a private residence in Japan:

Your vouchers will be delivered within a week after placing an order. 

Question 2. 
Will I be able to track the status of my delivery?

Yes, you will receive a delivery notification email with a tracking number once the shipping has been completed.

Question 3. 
I will start using my pass a few days after arriving in Japan. Does this affect my order?

No, the voucher will be valid for 90 days after the issue date so you can exchange your vouchers to the actual pass anytime during your stay in Japan.
For this reason, we do not ask you for the starting date of your pass.

We will issue your vouchers one day before shipping.
Please let us know by then if we need to make any correction. 

 

Question 4. 
How can I reserve my seat?

You cannot reserve your seat until you have activated your pass at a ticket counter in Japan. There is no online reservation available for Japan Rail Pass users.
