Public transportation is available to access to Sapporo Dome.


Fukuzumi station of Toho subway line is the nearest station to the stadium. It takes about 10 minutes from Fukuzumi station to the stadium by walking. From Sapporo city central, you can take Subway Toho line to Fukuzumi station which take about 13 minutes.

Shuttle bus

When there are events at Sapporo Dome, shuttle buses operate from several stations. Shuttle bus route:

  • Makomanai Subway station: 25 minutes
  • Hiragishi Subway station: 25 minutes
  • JR Shiroishi station: 30 minutes
  • Nango-juhatchome Subway station: 15 minutes

For all routes, fares are 210 yen for adult and 110 yen for child. If you stay at a hotel near one of the stations above, shuttle bus can be a cost-saving option.

There are airport shuttle buses between New Chitose Airport and Sapporo Dome.

You can get off at Sapporo Dome bus stop. It takes approximately 45 minutes from New Chitose Airport. Shuttle buses operate every 15 minutes during the day.

You can also take this route to go to Sapporo Dome. You can get off at Fukuzumi 3-jo 3-chome bus stop or Fukuzumi 3-jo 2-chome bus stop. It takes approximately 45 minutes from the airport. Shuttle buses for this route operate every 60 minutes during the day.

We recommend you to take a bus between New Chitose Airport and Downtown Sapporo. For Airport Shuttle bus, it costs 1,000 yen for adult ad 550 yen for child.


It takes approximately 30 minutes from JR Sapporo station by taxi. This is the most expensive way to access to the stadium, but no walking required. Its cost depends on traffic conditions.


How to access to Sapporo from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka

From Tokyo to Sapporo

You can take a Shinkansen, bullet train, from Tokyo to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and take a limited express train, Hokuto, from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Sapporo.

You can also choose to fly from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido.

From Osaka to Sapporo

If you want to take a train, you have to go to Tokyo first from Osaka. Then, you take trains from Tokyo to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Sapporo.

If you want to save time, you can take flights from Kansai International Airport or Itami Airport to New Chitose Airport.

From Nagoya to Sapporo

You can go to Tokyo from Nagoya by shinkansen. Then, from Tokyo to Sapporo, you can take a Shinkansen and a limited express train.

There are flights from Chubu Centrair International Airport to New Chitose Airport.

From Fukuoka to Sapporo

It is possible to take trains from Fukuoka to Sapporo via Tokyo. However, it takes time so that people usually fly from Fukuoka Airport to New Chitose Airport.



How to go to the stadium with Japan Rail Pass

You can use JR Pass for JR lines, such as trains from New Chitose Airport to JR Sapporo station.

If you go to Sapporo Dome from Tokyo and other areas, you can use your JR Pass to take Shinkansen to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto in Hokkaido. And, then you can use your pass from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Sapporo.

From Sapporo to Stadium, such as by subway and buses, you can not use your pass.

Moerenuma Park

There are many parks in Sapporo. Among them, Moerenuma Park is one of the popular parks. It is designed by Isamu Noguchi, Japanese American artist and landscape architect, with the concept of “park that is considered to be one complete sculpture.” Even though Isamu Noguchi died right after making a miniature model of the planned park, the park was constructed with his master plan.

There are many facilities in the park. The main symbol of the park is a glass pyramid, Hidamari. The atrium overlooks the park and creates a great space for relaxing filled with sunlight.
